Requirements:

  • Use Illustrator to build the poster (the file you hand in will be an .ai file)
  • Create graphics using both Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Make sure to embed all images used in Illustrator
  • Make sure and create outlines of all text used in Illustrator
  • Excellence in Typography is key to this project. Research type designers and their inspirational work
  • The majority of all imported imagery must be your own photography
  • Experiment with custom-made or experimental typography (Stephan Sagmeister) and custom-made graphics and/or typography for this project.
  • The poster must in part pay homage to the graphic style assigned but should also be influenced by your own style into the design as well.
  • 2 files required to be handed in. One will be a .ai file and the other will be a .pdf file.
  • Be sure and do research online of past images of Coachella posters, Woodstock posters and music festival posters
    from the past and other fan-inspired work.
  • attendance in class during 15th week-2 work in class sessions.
  • Print out one project of your choosing from the course at Big Shots Digital. Project dimensions should be the same size as was assigned for the project. Have it printed and mounted on foamcore.
